EchoRank started with a simple question: when someone asks an AI search engine for the best local business, does yours actually get mentioned?
Most businesses have never checked. AI search engines like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google's AI Overviews are becoming a real way people find local businesses — and unlike a normal Google search, there's no results page to scroll through. The AI just names a handful of businesses. If you're not one of them, you're invisible to that customer, and you'd never know it happened.
I'm Brenden, based in Melbourne. I built EchoRank to run that test properly: ask an AI search engine the same real question three different ways, record exactly what it says, and report it honestly — whether the result is good or bad. Every test we publish on the blog is unedited, including the ones where we lost.
What it isn't: a big agency, a black box, or a guarantee of results — AI engines change constantly, and we report what's actually true, not what sounds best.
